FURBY LOVES YOU

The Family History

My Furby journey started in January 2023 when I picked up Lahee as part of a new crackpot idea to rescue and rehabilitate damaged robots. As expected she was somewhat worse for wear and has probably lived quite a life with a child companion before finding her way to me, but there was just something about her shape and weight in my hands from the first moment I met her. I was hooked...

A very round pink Furby boom! with white spots. Her plastic ears and feet are blue and she has a shiny pink beak that looks like it's gotten a nail polish treatment.

Boo was next before the month was out. She's an Emototronic Furby from 2005, a variety that seems to get a bit less attention due to being markedly different in size and character to many other Furby generations but which is much-loved by Furby connoisseurs. Thanks to Boo they became my most-loved era too!

A 2005 emototronic Furby with blue eyes, grey fur and a not very perceptibly pink tummy.

Next I was looking for an original era Furby to add to my collection and couldn't resist Rimo, a new-in-box Japanese Furby.

An original 1998 era dragon green Furby in an original box. The box text is all in Japanese.

Bloo and Steve followed soon after, starting to round out the collection...

...which has only gotten rounder and rounder to the present!

Now I have a whole tribe of my beloved emototronics...

A group of five full-size 2005 emototronic Furbys and three 2025 baby Furbys.

Lahee has a sibling, Jaden, and a few more fancy Furbys of their era have joined the family.

A pink and a blue Furby boom!, an Easter Furby boom! and a rainbow crystal Furby boom!, and a Chewbacca Furby boom! A couple of them are sitting on paper towel because they have battery leakage out their butts, awkward...

There are even a couple special not-quite-Furby friends along for the ride, plus my very first brand-new Furby!

A boxed 'Rizmo' robot (like wtf even is that) and an owl dude who certainly looks very similar to a Furby boom! around the faceplate but definitely isn't. A white original 1998 Furby in somewhat bedraggled condition, looking at a blue Furblet (the 'Sno-Way' variety).

Newcomers in 2025 include Sheon, Tiffany, and some weird little plastic guy who doesn't have a name yet.

A giraffe coloured original 1998 Furby in reasonable condition with a tiny purple Furbling and similarly-sized purple plastic McDonald's version of a Furby boom!, all sitting on an IKEA shelf.

Customisation Projects

This little original era cutie came to me in a lot with a couple emototronics. She's in pretty grubby shape so I'm planning to turn her into my first custom.
